We do accept Medicare and VA. We are out of network with all other insurance plans.
At Unified our goal is to provide our patients the highest level of quality care, experience and get back to 100% in as little time as possible. This is why we do not participate with insurance. Insurance places many limitations on your care including how long the therapist can see you, how many visits and what treatments you can receive. This degrades your experience, doesn’t always allow for a full recovery and extends the time and times per week you are receiving treatment.
This is why at most in network clinics the patient will be asked to come 3 times per week. During those visits, you work with an actual physical therapist for 15 minutes each session, which is a total of 45 minutes per week. If you’re paying a co-pay of $50 per visit, you’re paying $150 for 45 minutes of time with a therapist. A typical patient is asked to see a physical therapist for a period of 6–8 weeks, which is 18–24 visits. This means just your co-pay will cost you between $900–$1,200.
At Unified Rehabilitation the same patient will typically only require one visit per week. Sometimes two appointments are necessary at the beginning of treatment to reduce your symptoms as soon as possible. You will spend the full 60 minutes with a physical therapist at a cost of only $165 or less per visit. The extra time working with a therapist each week will significantly reduce the weeks in treatment AND fewer trips to the clinic.
After treatment is completed we provide you a document called a super bill. This allows you to submit your treatment to your insurance counting towards your out of network benefits and potentially having them reimburse you for a portion of the care costs.
