As Doctors of Physical Therapy we are highly trained medical professionals that possess the skills necessary to assess, diagnose and treat dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. This includes movement dysfunction, strength imbalances, neurological deficits, pain and mobility restrictions. Many of these findings are what can contribute to an individuals fear of falling, feeling of weakness, difficultly transferring and overall fatigue. These can also be the result of acute or chronic illness which we are experts in managing with non pharmacological interventions. While these may affect you at any age, it becomes worse and more detrimental to your health the older you get. This is just one of the many reasons it is important to get ahead of the illness, preventing it from getting worse or reversing it altogether.
