Stefenie Gonzalez
(Patient Care Coordinator)
Stefenie first started working in the medical field in 1996, when a friend’s mom offered her a job at an Eye Specialist’s office in Houston, Texas. She found that she had a passion for working with the clients coming in for care and seeing them heal.
She promptly decided to pursue her career in this field. She has many different areas of experience including working in a Gastroenterology office and working as the office manager at a primary care office.
She moved to Florida in 2000 continuing her career working in medical practices including a retina specialist, a physical therapy clinic, and a dentistry office. From her diverse experience, she found she enjoyed working with the clients who came into the physical therapy clinic.
Stefenie felt she made the biggest impact on these clients, and they had a great impact on her. Stefenie says, “The thing I love the most about what I do is getting to personally know each patient, their stories, encouraging them in their recoveries & witnessing their growth that they did not know they had within them!” Stefenie is very inspired by the clients, and their lives and greatly enjoys becoming a part of their journey of healing, recovering, and flourishing.
When she is not at work, she enjoys crafting, cuddling with her kitty Kiwi, being in the sunshine, and spending time with friends and family. She loves watching her daughter play college softball and traveling to Texas as much as possible. She says, “You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can NOT take Texas out of the girl!!”
